Wing Zone featured in The Forum

This past Super Bowl weekend, Wing Zone was featured in The Forum in Fargo discussing the spike in wing sales experienced by local businesses on Super Bowl Sunday. In terms of sales in Fargo,Tami Smith let us know that Super Bowl Sunday is the largest sales day of the year by far, often seeing an increase from about 300 wings on a typical Sunday to about 2500 wings for the big game. Orders of 100 – 200 wings are common and the whole staff is prepared to meet the pre-game rush so customers can have everything ready for all of their parties. Wing Zone featured in the San Antonio Business Journal

Wing Zone was recently featured in the San Antonio Business Journal discussing the new opening of the Grill & Tap prototype this past week. Brad Meltzer, experienced restaurateur in San Antonio and Austin is opening the Grill & Tap prototype for the first time bringing a new look to the brand by offering a full service wing joint plus beer and wine. So far the restaurant has been a hit in the market and Brad is planning on adding a total of 10 locations in San Antonio and Austin. Austin-based businessman Brad Meltzer is mixing things up for a chicken-wing chain out of Atlanta.

Late last month, Meltzer opened the first of several Wing Zone restaurants planned in San Antonio, at 7828 Callaghan Road on the Northwest Side.

Wing Zone featured in the TC Palm

Wing Zone was recently featured in the TC Palm in an article entitled, “Treasure Coast wing shops ready for Super Bowl onslaught.” For the article, local Wing Zone owner, Steven Fritz, shared his insight on the world of wings during Super Bowl weekend. On Super Bowl Sunday, Wing Zone in Port St. Lucie plans to sell 5,000 wings in a two hour period; an event that has had the restaurant planning since January 24th to ensure that they have enough sauces, as well as celery and wings to meet the demand of the customers who line up in the parking lot for these delicious morsels. Wing Zone was recently featured on Fox 5's "Good Day Atlanta." The segment aired yesterday and featured an awesome wing-saucing demo with Wing Zone co-founder and CEO Matt Friedman, who discussed why chicken wings are everyone’s favorite Super Bowl food. Matt brought some of his famous chicken wings and a variety of sauces to the set and taught the anchor how to sauce wings, while talking all about Wing Zone and how Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest sales day of the year. Take the volume from four regular business days and cram them into a few hours Sunday.

"It usually starts getting really heavy at 3 p.m. and goes until about 8 p.m.," said Randy Bardouche, an owner of Wing Zone, 1635 Main St. "If the Packers win, I expect it to go all night long, because that was the trend with the NFC championship game."

Wing Zone featured in the Dayton Business Journal

Wing Zone was recently featured in the Dayton Business Journal in an article discussing the rise in sales over Super Bowl weekend. Ramzi Anubtawi, local owner of the two Dayton Wing Zone locations, shared his experience with readers on the influx of business that he encounters on Super Bowl Sunday. On a typical day, Ramzi said sales range from $2,000 -$2,400 however for the upcoming Super Bowl Sunday, Ramzi hopes to reach $9,000 - $10,000 in sales which makes it his busiest day of the year. Similar increases in sales is experienced across the 80 Wing Zone locations, making the Super Bowl the busiest day for chicken wings throughout the year.
