There is also an increase in knowledge about the world of franchising. Whereas 20 years ago a college graduate wouldn't know much about franchising, courses on franchising are now being taught in schools. If a student can't find a job upon graduation, he or she can create one by starting a franchise business.
That is why franchises that appeal to college students are on the rise. He said franchise restaurants, such as Toppers Pizza, Pita Pit and
Wing Zone, are among the fastest growing franchises. For that reason, he has high hopes for a concept like Pretzel Revolution, which targets students at nearby Kutztown University and is looking to locate franchises in other college towns.
