Let the wing wars begin!

Wing Zone is coming to Rio Grande Valley with two locations.

Franchise owner Nick Chandra is bringing one restaurant to Harlingen and another inside La Plaza Mall in McAllen.

Manager Reymundo Cano tells the Valley Biz Blog that the Harlingen location will be located inside the old Wingstop off South 77 Sunshine Strip.

The Houston area's first Wing Zone restaurant will open at 2813 Business Center Drive in Pearland in about three months.

Local Wing Zone franchisee Keshuv Aggarwal said he and his family members are scouting more Wing Zone locations in the area.

Their first Wing Zone is 1,200 square feet and will seat about 20 people inside and also have outdoor seating, he said.

Wing Zone sells chicken wings and tenders, burgers, chicken sandwiches, shrimp and salads. Wing and tender flavors include Buffalo Bliss, Thai Chili and Lemon Zinger.
